Description

Banknote mit chinesischen Schriftzeichen und chinesischer Motivik (polychrome Vorderseite: mehrere Personen, Musiker, Kaiserporträt (?); weiß-grüne Rückseite: Palastgebäude, Drachentier). Die Banknote weist den Wert "500000000" sowie den spezifischen Hinweis "HELL BANK NOTE" auf. Es handelt sich entsprechend um keine echte Banknote mit einem gültigen Wert, sondern um sog. Totengeld, wie es in China zum Verbrennen am Grab oder an Feiertagen rituellen Gebrauch findet. Es repräsentiert eine Opfergabe, wie sie z.B. beim jährlichen Quingming-Fest (Totengedenkfest) Anfang April zum Einsatz kommt.
