Brustbildnis Johann Caspar Lavaters als Schulterstück im Profil nach rechts, im gezeichneten Oval. Von unbekannter Hand gezeichnet.

Bleistift (?), Rötel, schwarze und weiße Kreide, Rötel und Kreiden stark gewischt, auf stark unregelmäßig beschnittenem Vergépapier, ganzflächig auf festen Karton gezogen, die Zeichnung teils auf dem Karton fortgeführt

Aus dem Besitz von Johann Gottfried Herder (1744-1803). | Vererbt an die Tochter Louise Stichling geb. Herder (1781-1860). | In Familienlinie und über drei Generationen vererbt an Dr. Gottfried Kuhnt (1884-1967) und seine Gattin Karola Kuhnt. | Erworben 1986 von Karola Kuhnt, Hamburg.
